2-day 2-person kiteboarding camp

2-day 2-person kiteboarding camp

We recommend the Bell Isle Marina for kitesurfing because of the chest-high, flat water. It is difficult to learn in waves and ocean currents, and intermediate riders who are on the waves first learned in flat water.

In this 2-day, 2-person kiteboarding camp, you'll receive seven hours of kiteboarding instruction in two days. During this time, you'll not only learn the ins and outs of kiteboarding, but you'll also be able to learn from each other's mistakes. During the second day, you'll be able to go over your weak points with an experienced instructor, and you'll learn how to correct bad habits, so you can accelerate your learning curve. The focus in this course will be giving you the time on the water that you need to master the water start and to start riding in both directions if you are ambitious. Kiteboarding involves kite skills, so you will learn to respect the power of the wind and the kite kite in this course.  In addition, you'll learn how to operate your quick release and learn how to self-rescue.

In this camp, you'll learn how to:

1) perform the water start under different wind conditions

2) body drag downwind and upwind to retrieve your kiteboard

3) launch a kite and land a kite

4) depower your kite and how to use the depower strap

Most importantly, you'll have a lot of time in the water, and you'll be able to learn together with a partner.

Two continuous days of learning kiteboarding in a group of two will give you a solid foundation in the sport of kiteboarding.
